Evaluation
My website
incorporates technologies such as Adobe Dreamweaver, JavaScript, HTML, CSS,
Final Cur Pro and Photoshop.
Firstly, I designed
the website in Photoshop, using the Slice tool to separate different elements
of the design. Then, I used “Save for Web” tool which helped me easy to prepare
graphics for the web. I incorporated these graphics into my website using Adobe
Dreamweaver software which easily generated HTML code.
My web animation is
a simple text animation, which promotes the video “Don’t Give In To Negative
Peer Pressure”. It is a Fullbanner animation, which is a standard for
horizontal form of animation. Its dimensions are 468px × 60px. I created in
Adobe Director using graphics imported from Photoshop. I published the
animation as a Shockwave animation which requires Shockwave player in order to
be viewed on the web.
CSS helped me to
style and control HTML layouts. JavaScript code was generated by a Dreamweaver
for animating the website menu. The menu text changes its colour, when the
mouse is over it. In order to create this animation, I used Rollover Image icon
in the Common category of Adobe Dreamweaver.
I created all of
the mobile and desktop websites pages in Adobe Dreamweaver using not only its
tools but also a hand coding.
My website
incorporate assets such as videos, texts, images, 2D animation and graphics. I
embedded QuickTime movie files into the Meeting and Video pages. Graphics and
images were incorporated as a JPEG formats into the website.
For a hand coding,
I especially used W3Schools.com website which incorporates very useful and easy
to understand tutorials about a wide variety of web design technologies such as
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, XHTML etc.
Production process:
1.
Learn – The most important part of the
production process is discovering and understanding what technology to use for
building the website according to the objectives and goals of the project.
2.
Plan – The first step will act as a
foundation of the planning step which includes researching, note taking and
sketching
3.
Design - Creating assets for the website
4.
Code – Building up the website in Adobe Dreamweaver
software and incorporating the assets
5.
Launch – I saved Dreamweaver documents as
HTML files in order to be viewed on the Internet
